On Wednesday, July 1st, CSIM held its third edition of the Good Practices Breakfast series at Fabrick Gràcia, this time focused on leadership. Ten member companies came together to openly share, among peers, how they are developing leadership within their organisations and the challenges they face in retaining talent — one of the sector's key strategic issues.
The session combined a panel discussion, where managers and directors from participating companies shared their own initiatives and lessons learned, with a talk by Joan Carles Vilà, founding partner of Human Software and an expert in leadership and soft skills development. Vilà's talk centred on one core idea: beyond technology or tools, it is people — and how developed and engaged they are — who make the real difference in a team's results.
Key takeaways included the role of leadership in team engagement, a framework of four dimensions that today's leaders must address — direction, self-development, team development, and discovery — and a practical self-assessment tool that allowed each participant to evaluate their own leadership style.
With this format, CSIM continues to build trusted spaces where real estate companies can learn from one another and take away ideas they can apply in their day-to-day work. The cluster thanks Human Software for their collaboration, as well as all the companies that took part.
